Group Reportage "Twilight Mania"
"The Twilight Ambrosia Gripping the Young Ladies of Today" - This was the title of my group reportage on "Twilight Mania". It was our first major assignment for this class. The written mode of communication was indispensible for the "Twilight Mania" group reportage. For this reportage, my partner and I conducted in depth research in the reactions and craze that the Twilight series drew from both the general audience and the critical audience. Our research stared with internet but it was later expanded to visit to Georgia Tech Library. I was amazed to know that how "Twilight" has gripped certain age group and gender of mass population. I included an evidence of it in my reportage as shown in the picture below. In order to understand the research done by esteemed social analysts, it was important to analyze their written works and data. Furthermore, it was important to record notes as more research was done though watching Twilight videos on youtube and listening to podcasts. Displaying this research and my own analysis in written format was very effective as I could use an effective set of words to display and back up points that I was arguing. I felt like I had great writing structure in my paper. However, if I were to do this paper again, I would attempt to be more concise and to the point as I lay down key points.Overall, this project was a great example of the effectiveness of written work and I was very much satisfied with the end result.
